I am Sushant Singh, a resident of Sheetal Plaza, Cuttack. I am writing to bring your kind attention to the malaria epidemic in our city. For your kind information, the situation is becoming alarming, and more cases are reported every day. I request that you take immediate action against this epidemic before it becomes uncontrollable.
There are many reasons for the spread of the malaria epidemic in our city. The biggest reason for this is the lack of cleanliness in the city. Often, the garbage is not picked up completely here, and stagnant water collects everywhere. This is the main reason which serves to increase the number of mosquitoes. And the biggest one is the lack of awareness of cleanliness among the people.
So to deal with this epidemic, I suggest that the local municipal corporation take immediate action to control the situation. For this, they have to improve the cleanliness of the city. Regular road cleaning and garbage removal will have to be done. The stagnant water in the city will have to be cleaned, and proper drainage arrangements will have to be made. And most importantly, to prevent the spread of malaria, mass awareness campaigns will have to be launched to educate people about the importance of cleanliness. Apart from this, the Municipal Corporation will have to distribute mosquito nets in different parts of the city and conduct regular fumigation campaigns.
I request that you should take the necessary action to tackle this growing pandemic and protect the health of our citizens. We cannot let this situation get out of hand, and immediate intervention is necessary to prevent further spread of the disease.
